InformationLiving in Dundee on the East coast of Scotland, I create original paintings in both Oils and Acrylics, in varied sizes and of a wide variety of subjects. This is very much a 'Leisure for Pleasure' Paintings website - my pleasure and (I hope!) your pleasure. The website exhibits a considerable number of originals in the mediums of Acrylics, Oils and Watercolour, together with a number of footballing and celebrity caricature / sketches. All works have been created by myself as the artist over a period of 35+ years and I wish to share with you some of the pleasure this labour of love has given me. The themes and ideas were and are inspired by the countries and holiday destinations I have visited over that time. They can be referenced to my own sketches, photographs and observations. These include landscapes, street scenes and figurative work in particular. The caricatures have been inspired by a number of ex-players with whom I had the pleasure and experience of playing with (or against!) in times past. Dundee can easily be found on maps as it is on the north bank of the river Tay, which is one of Scotland's two major sea estuary's flowing into the North Sea. The other being the river Forth, with Scotland's capital city Edinburgh on it's south bank which is approximately 40 miles to the south of Dundee. Between the rivers Tay and Forth is the 'Kingdom of Fife' with the spiritual home of golf, St Andrews.
